Now….all this talk and I only mentioned them as the “big three”….who are the “big three”?

Garmin, Magellan, and TomTom

Let me tell you….WOW…they are awesome…but a lot harder to learn than the guitar. It’s scary how difficult they are to get used to honestly. Ever tried to rub your stomach and pat your head at the same time? Yea….it’s that hard….lol

Last week a tanker turned over about 2 blocks from my house on the highway and spilled about 400 gallons of a chemical used in plastic. Smelled like nail polish….lol. My son had off from school for 3 days since his school is about a block from it….my poor daughter didn’t get off from school though, her school is in another town, and it happened on her Sweet Sixteen Birthday!

Well…I’m about to get back to adding products to the site….let me know what you’re looking for.

I’m a lucky guy. My wife and I will be going out to dinner tonight…nothing fancy actually. Just a “sentimental” dinner at “Cheeseburger in Paradise”.

What?

Yup, on our honeymoon two years ago we went to Universal’s City Walk and had dinner on the outside porch of Jimmy Buffet’s “Margaritaville” and the live performer sang our wedding song for us while we ate….so since that was a good memory we are going to have dinner at another “Buffet” themed place.

Other than that….what have I been up to since back in February?

Well…I’ve been adding products to Serendipity Deals like a madman! Over 670 products and counting now! Also did some other advertising stuff with Google Adwords and Google Base so by all means check it out! Today was also another amazing feat! For the hell of it I decided to check out the search string stats for my other site Castle No Fear to see what keywords people were using to find the site. I found that the most popular search this past week was “Rock Band DLC April 22″….so I went to Google to see where we were on the list against all the video game news sites. To my surprise (at the time of this writing) we were the #1 spot on the list out of about 730,000 sites! NUMBER ONE!!!! That’s amazing! That is one heck of an anniversary gift from Google I’ll tell ya…..lol

Why have I been missing so long?  That’s simple.  I got all my ducks in a row with the state of New Jersey’s business division and got all the certificates I needed for my store.   Since then I’ve been plugging away at different suppliers to get great deals for Serendipity Deals.

I’m at around 419 products and counting…and I have a TON more to add. I’ve finally gotten a few more great name brands as well including GigglyGear and The Highland Mint! We are also carrying BCW Sports Collectible displays, video game stuff, lots of baby items, and tons of stuff for your kitchen.

We had a major snow storm here on Friday, I spent the entire day sending applications to suppliers, in fact, I spent all day Friday and all day Saturday sending out applications to suppliers who I think have some great products to sell and that I can get some great deals from. The total? I sent out 194 applications! Yup…and Monday morning my email box was FLOODED! Not to mention my phone ringing off the hook….that was pretty crazy too. The worst part? 194 applications….and about 80% of them will want me to fill out even more applications. I had just recently cleaned my desk….and now….ugh. I’ve had to buy black ink for my printer twice this week….good thing it’s a tax write off now…lol.

I still have thousands of products that I can add, but I’m at a crossroads….what do I add? I don’t want to spend the next three days adding products that nobody is interested in. So, now I’m looking at “What’s Hot” lately…maybe that will help. Also looking to see what the most searched for products are…figuring that will help.

You know what would help? If you guys posted a few comments about what you might be looking for and the price range you’re looking for it in. That would be an AWESOME help. So, if you’re reading this…take some time to comment and let me know what you would buy if I had it up there for the right price. I’m serious…it’s one of the major points of Serendipity Deals, customer interaction and customer service.

Confused? I have the Saitek keyboard that glows in a color that I want (choice of three, red, blue, and purple) well…since my favorite colors are purple and black I set the lighting to purple…so my keyboard is purple and black. When you restart my computer the light defaults to blue. So….SOMEHOW my computer decided to restart itself last night….and it’s not the first time it has done so. By some chain of events this caused the FiredUpRadio stream to go down as well….odd….yea.

I’d talk more about yesterday….but really…I don’t remember much about yesterday. All I know is that I added more products to SerendipityDeals.com….oh and for some reason apparently most of the internet went down at about 6PM last night….gah!  My wife made a great dinner though….mmmm….sausage and peppers.

So, I get the files moved, then I backup the database that I had CLEARLY labeled FiredUpRadio in the database description.  I put the site completely up…and then I notice that I’m the only registered user and all the work I had done is gone.  WHAT???  45 minutes had now gone by…and I was confused as hell.  I then remembered that I had some issues when I had installed it on it’s original server….which meant that I had to do a reinstall with a new database.  Gah!  After searching through the files I found the right database and brought that in.  Great!  I have all the files now moved, the right database…it’s wonderful!

I install a new plugin called AutoGallery (one I’ve installed before to another site) and then suddenly the entire site went DOWN!  Internal Server Errror….. Martha Focker!

After spending about 20 minutes or so going through everything I could I finally figured out what was wrong….talk about a friggen’ nightmare.  Well…it’s back up and running….I’m keeping my fingers crossed because that was my smallest site to move….I have three more to move….the biggest one being last so I know what to expect…

Okay…back now? I bet you’re wondering why the product line is so scattered…lol. There’s a simple reason for that. I didn’t want it scattered….so…I made it scattered. Make sense? Yea….I didn’t think so. I didn’t want to go in and have 100 electronics products, and 4 kitchen products since most online shoppers are women. So I started out with kitchen stuff, and jewelry….then I added games, and electronics…and so on and so forth. I keep adding little by little into each category until I feel satisfied. Not a day goes by that I don’t add at least one product. Which brings me to the point of exhaustion. My daughter went in for surgery last Friday for both of her knees. Now I’m Florence Nightingale (however you spell her name) running up and down the stairs taking her to the bathroom, changing her cryo packs, bringing her food and drinks….not to mention spending from 8AM till about 10PM on my computer working on the site. Plus…the middle of the night pages from my daughter for potty trips….

Ugh…..
